Amended Rights Lawsuit by Jailed Binance Employee Includes Financial Compensation Demand

In a recent development, Tigran Gambaryan, the detained Binance employee, has sought permission to amend his lawsuit concerning fundamental human rights violations against Nigerian law enforcement agencies. The amended proposal notably includes a demand for “the costs of this action on a full indemnity basis.” Although the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission counsel opposed the application for amendment, Justice Inyang Ekwo overruled the opposition. The directive was to have Gambaryan’s lawyer serve the amended motion within two days. The case is now adjourned to July 9, 2024, for a comprehensive hearing on the amended motion and other pending applications.
