Shardeum’s airdrop is divided into two phases:

• Airdrop Phase 1: This phase covers early contributors who participated in the Liberty Alphanet and Sphinx Betanet. The snapshot for this phase was taken on June 22, 2024.

• Airdrop Phase 2: This phase focuses on participants in the Atomium Incentivized Testnet (ITN) Stages 1–4. The snapshot for this phase was taken on March 1, 2025.

Airdrop Phase 1

Phase 1 targets early contributors who actively engaged with Shardeum during its initial development stages. This includes on-chain contributors, validators, and off-chain contributors.

Airdrop Phase 2

Phase 2 is centered around participants in the incentivized testnet, aiming to reward those who contributed to the testing and validation of Shardeum’s network.

Airdrop Supply and Total Qualified Wallets

The total airdrop supply for Phases 1 and 2 is 5,516,575 SHM, representing 2.22% of the initial SHM supply. There are 63,494 qualified wallets eligible for these airdrops.

Eligibility Criteria and Token Allocation

Phase 1: Early Contributors

• A. On-Chain Contributors: Tokens allocated are 1,576,000 SHM, with a minimum allocation of 40 SHM and a maximum of 10,000 SHM. Eligibility is based on network interactions, difficulty weighting, early adopter multipliers, and consistency multipliers.

• B. Validators: Tokens allocated are 1,506,750 SHM, with a minimum allocation of 90 SHM and a maximum of 10,000 SHM. Eligibility criteria include node hours, participation across releases, priority weighting, early adopter multipliers, and high availability multipliers.

• C. Off-Chain Contributors: Tokens allocated are 254,825 SHM, with a minimum allocation of 50 SHM and a maximum of 10,000 SHM. Eligibility includes contributions to Shardeum leagues, X Thread, video creation, Discord invites, Telegram invites, content creation, proof of concept (POC) events, Discord super contributors, Twitter influencers, website and logo development, miscellaneous business development tasks, and POAP event participants.

Phase 2: Incentivized Testnet

• A. On-Chain Contributors: Tokens allocated are 748,500 SHM, with a minimum allocation of 40 SHM and a maximum of 10,000 SHM. Eligibility is based on XP sources, weighted activities, consistency multipliers, and on-chain multipliers.

• B. Validators: Tokens allocated are 1,430,500 SHM, with a minimum allocation of 90 SHM and a maximum of 10,000 SHM. Eligibility criteria include XP accumulation, active participation multipliers, and task completion multipliers.

Who are Excluded?

To ensure fairness and legitimacy, the following categories are excluded from the airdrop:

• Shardeum Foundation Team members’ wallets

• Partner wallets

• Sybil wallets

• Sanctioned wallets and wallets from sanctioned countries

How to Register for the Airdrop?

To register for the airdrop, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Airdrop Registration page.

2. Connect your wallet and verify your eligibility.

3. If eligible, check your allocated tokens.

Registration is automatic once these steps are completed.

Registration Deadlines and Distribution Schedule

• March 14, 2025, 10:00 AM UTC – March 21, 2025, 11:59 PM UTC: Users who register during this period will receive their SHM tokens during Shardeum’s Token Generation Event (TGE).

• March 22, 2025, 12:00 AM UTC – April 13, 2025, 11:59 PM UTC: Users who register during this period will receive their airdrop by June 13, 2025.

• Beware of scams—do not engage with unofficial sources.

Steps Taken to Detect and Mitigate Sybil Activity

Shardeum has implemented a multi-layered process to detect and mitigate Sybil activity:

• On-chain and off-chain data analysis: Utilizing clustering techniques and machine learning models to identify fraudulent wallets.

• Funding pattern analysis: Identifying wallets that received funding at the same time from the same source.

• Incentivized testnet data analysis: Flagging wallets involved in suspicious activity.

1. Where can I register for the airdrop?

   • Visit the Airdrop Registration page and follow the steps to connect your wallet and verify eligibility.

2. Why is this referred to as “Airdrop Registration” instead of simply “Airdrop Claim” or “Airdrop Checker”?

   • The registration process allows users to verify eligibility and check allocations, but tokens are not claimed in real-time. Instead, they are distributed during the TGE or at a later date.

3. When will I receive my SHM tokens after I register for the airdrop?

   • Tokens will be distributed during the TGE for registrations made between March 14 and 21, 2025. For registrations between March 22 and April 13, 2025, tokens will be distributed by June 13, 2025.

4. Will my contributions across different categories be allocated separately, or will they be combined into a single distribution?

   • All eligible rewards will be combined into a single allocation per recipient.

5. I didn’t qualify for Phase 1 and Phase 2 airdrops. Will there be future airdrops?

   • Yes, additional airdrops are planned post-mainnet, with over 19 million SHM set aside for future campaigns.

6. Can I still claim airdrop tokens if I missed the claim window deadlines?

   • No, once the claim windows close, airdrop registrations will no longer be possible for Phase 1 and 2.

7. What happens to unclaimed airdropped SHM tokens?

   • Unclaimed tokens will be redistributed to the community in future initiatives.

8. Will airdropped SHM tokens be subject to any lock-up period, vesting schedule, or mandatory staking requirement?

   • No.
