Solana-Powered AI Project Avatar One Surpasses 120,000 Active Users
Solana-based AI platform Avatar.One has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 120,000 monthly active users worldwide since its launch earlier this year. The platform, which enables users to create and interact with personalized 3D artificial intelligence (AI) companions, has rapidly gained traction, connecting over 100,000 Solana wallets.
Avatar.One allows users to define their AI companions’ personalities from a vast array of variations, equip them with AI-generated voices, and engage in dynamic, unfiltered conversations. This innovative approach aims to address the global loneliness epidemic, a concern highlighted by the World Health Organization, which has labeled loneliness as a “global public health concern” and launched a Commission on Social Connection in November 2023.
Mark Studholme, co-founder of Avatar.One and Matrix One, shared his vision for the future, stating:
“I envision a future where every living person can own an AI character they define. These AI characters can assist with daily tasks, such as reminding you of your mom’s birthday, keeping you company while you watch Netflix, or even handling your tax payments.”
Avatar.One operates on Matrix One’s decentralized protocol, which includes a suite of tools such as a character studio, an avatar maker, and a library of large language models (LLMs). The technology supports integration with popular game engines like Unreal Engine, Unity, and Three.js, making avatars compatible with over 200 games and applications.
The platform emphasizes user safety and privacy, ensuring that all interactions and user data are stored in an encrypted database. Looking ahead, Avatar.One is preparing for its upcoming token generation event on Polkastarter, Seedify, and ChainGPT, with plans for a listing on centralized exchanges. The MATRIX token will play a crucial role in the platform, facilitating participation and transactions within the Matrix One network, and providing holders with governance rights.
