Who Can Get Tokens from the 'Catizen' Telegram Game Airdrop on TON?

Satoshi Nakamoto Set to Lose Bitcoin Throne by Halloween

The popular Telegram game Catizen is gearing up to release its own token, called CATI, on The Open Network (TON). The token is set to go live on September 20, and along with this, there will be an airdrop. Airdrops are events where free tokens are distributed to eligible users. Earlier this week, the developer of Catizen, Pluto Studio, revealed who will be eligible to receive these free tokens.

With over 35.8 million players who have tried the game, not everyone will qualify for the token giveaway. As of now, only players who have earned enough in-game currency, called vKitty coins, and reached the “Silver League” in the game will be eligible for the airdrop. Based on the game data shared on Tuesday, less than half of the total player base has reached this level so far.

According to a post shared on Catizen‘s official Telegram community, 15.2 million players have qualified for the token airdrop. That leaves over 20 million players still in the Bronze League, which means they are currently ineligible for any rewards. The post also encouraged players to act quickly if they wanted to boost their game standing and qualify for the airdrop before the deadline.

A chart posted alongside the message gave a breakdown of how many players have reached each in-game league. The Silver League is the first level that qualifies players for the airdrop, and about 12.7 million players are currently in this league. The Gold League has just over 2 million players, while about 320,000 players have made it to the Platinum League. The Diamond League includes 76,000 players, and the Master League consists of 108,000 players.

The most exclusive group is the Royal League, with only 10,505 players. These top players are likely to receive the largest share of tokens during the airdrop, though Catizen has not yet disclosed how the tokens will be divided among different groups of players.

Catizen is a game within Telegram that revolves around a simple puzzle concept. Players match similar-looking cats in a virtual cat cafe, unlocking new types of cats as they progress. By playing and earning in-game currency, they can gain access to a share of the CATI token once it launches. Although the exact date for the airdrop hasn’t been confirmed, the token launch will happen on September 20. Major cryptocurrency exchanges, including OKX, HashKey, and KuCoin, have announced plans to list the CATI token. Some of these exchanges have already started allowing pre-market trading of the token.

In addition to Catizen, other popular Telegram games are also preparing to release their own tokens before the end of the month. The fitness and combat-themed game Rocky Rabbit is launching its RabBitcoin (RBTC) token on September 23, and the game Hamster Kombat will release its HMSTR token on September 26. Like CATI, both of these tokens will also be launched on The Open Network (TON).

These upcoming launches are expected to be significant for Telegram’s growing crypto gaming scene, which has gained a lot of attention this year. One of the earlier successes was the game Notcoin, a tap-to-earn game that reached 35 million players before releasing its own token, which became one of the biggest gaming tokens of 2023.

As for The Open Network (TON), its popularity has grown alongside the rise of these games on Telegram. However, some concerns remain about whether the network will be able to handle the high level of activity expected with these upcoming token releases. In late August, there were some instances of downtime on the network, raising questions about its ability to manage the increased demand during these token airdrops and launches.

In summary, Catizen is preparing to launch its CATI token, and the airdrop will be given to players who have reached the Silver League or higher. With millions of players still trying to qualify, the competition is fierce. The upcoming token releases from other games like Rocky Rabbit and Hamster Kombat show that Telegram’s crypto gaming ecosystem is rapidly expanding, and The Open Network is playing a crucial role in this growth. Whether it can keep up with the growing demand remains to be seen, but this month will be a crucial test.
